At least three weeks ago I announced my move from LiveJournal to the new-and-improved(?) shannoetry blog. Well. Aren’t I the timely type? (nope, never have been). Finally, as promised, I give you the shannoetry blog – original poetry by yours truly. And possibly a little more.

So welcome to the new shannoetry blog! Over the next few weeks? months? somethings, I’ll be adding back the pieces that I originally had posted on my LiveJournal page. My hope is to intersperse these with new posts, so it’s not just the same old stuff all the time.

I’ve never been much of a blogger. I started a blog a few years ago, when I lived in the UK for school, as a way of keeping in touch with my friends and family back home en masse. It saved me multiple emails, and was an interesting way for a budding journalism student to get a little creative. I can’t promise with any great certainty that I’ll be a regular updater, but I will do my best to update as often as possible – read: whenever I have something new to share, or even something old.

So with that, I’ll quickly be adding the first real poetry post. I hope you enjoy.
